The Peguis Senior Centre celebrated its annual Resident’s Summer Party on September 18, 2024, with a delightful Grand Ole’ Opry theme. The event began with heartfelt words from Chief Stan Bird, who expressed his deep appreciation for the elders in the community, stating, “We value our elders as an integral part of our community.”
Carl McCorrister, a representative of the Senior Centre, extended his gratitude to Chief and Council for their presence, acknowledging their support. “Your appreciation means the world to us,” he said, while also thanking all attendees for making the event special.
The rest of the day was filled with entertainment, bringing joy and laughter to everyone present. The celebration of community and honoring the wisdom of the elders made the event a memorable one for all who attended.
